Frequently asked questions

Get answers to common questions about the PayAnalytics software. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to get in touch or book a meeting with us where we demonstrate the software.

How much data do I need to run my first analysis?

To run an equal pay analysis you need a dataset where your organization's employees are listed. Each employee needs to have:

  • A unique Identifier (e.g. Employee ID)
  • At least one demographic variable (e.g. Gender or Race)
  • A grouping field (e.g. Job Role)
  • A compensation field (e.g. Fixed Salary or Total Salary).

Any other variables that factor into pay can also be used when running an analysis (e.g. Hours worked, Number of direct reports, Performance, Education, etc.).

Yes, the system is currency agnostic and therefore works with any currency. If you would like to work with multiple currencies, you can define their exchange rates in the system. Then you can easily view your datasets and analyses in any of those currencies, independent of the original currency (or currencies) for the dataset.

Could you help out with getting started?

Yes. Our goal is to provide the best and most accessible tools possible to companies when it comes to analyzing payroll data, but we do provide companies with initial consulting and even further consultation if needed. Initially, it can sometimes be helpful to discuss how the employee data is structured, how to build an equal pay model as well as interpreting the results, how to review suggested pay raises and understanding the cost of closing any demographic pay gaps.
